Questions Mostly Asked By Our Customer
Q1. Where do you operate?
We are based at Halesowen West Midlands: we offer full nationwide coverage in the UK.
Q2. Why should I use ICS Hire Ltd (ICS SERVICES)?
After you contact us, we will discuss with you any other relevant information about your accident and injuries. We will investigate your claim, which may lead to finding information such as police reports, evaluating vehicle damage, or if you have a witness we will contact the witness to ensure your claim can be completed. Once that is established, we will recommend you to our experienced and knowledgeable panel of our solicitors to assist you with your injury claim. We will ensure that you receive a high level of service from our recommended solicitors.
Q3. What happens if I lose my Personal Injury Compensation Claim ?
Our recommended solicitors are very experienced in assessing liability, but there is no guarantee of a win. You don't win your compensation claim if you lose your case for personal injury. If you lose your compensation claim case for personal injury, you obviously won't get any compensation no matter how badly you were injured. If a case is lost, it is because the person you are claiming compensation from has been found not liable for the accident or your injuries. This means that they don't have to pay you any damages.
Q4. How long will the claim take ?
It is very difficult to judge how long a claim for compensation will take at this early stage. One of the key factors which affect the timescale of a claim is whether the other side admits or dispute liability. Also obtaining the relevant medical evidence is crucial along with the time it will take for you to recover from your injuries.
Usually, a whiplash-type injury sustained in a car accident where liability has been admitted by the defendant approximately takes between 3-6 months to settle. Cases involving accidents at work or slip/trip cases are generally more complex and can take longer. Once our recommended solicitors have made their initial investigations, they will be in a much better position to advise you of a realistic timescale.
Q5.Do I have to visit my doctor ?
When claiming for car accident injuries it is important to have received medical attention so that the pain and suffering you received from the road traffic accident is sufficiently documented and therefore provable. UK car accident claims often fail due to the simple fact that the injured victim did not attend a hospital or G.P to discuss the pain they were feeling. Not only do medical notes go toward proving a road accident injury occurred, but they also go to establishing the amount that should be awarded to the accidentally injured party. In many cases, on UK roads an ambulance will be called to the scene of accidental collisions, especially if the person is injured.
Q6.Do I have to attend a medical?
Yes. An individual has to arrange a medical and it may incur additional costs associated with this. Solicitor will arrange a medical examination with an independent doctor. This appointment can be arranged locally to your home so you will not have to travel very far to attend and will usually last less than an hour.
Q7.Will I have to go to court?
Our recommended solicitors will try their utmost to negotiate a settlement with the third party insurance company to settle your claim. Therefore it is highly unlikely that you will need to attend court. Occasionally a settlement cannot be reached and in these instances, solicitors may decide to issue court proceedings; this is usually a last resort. Recommended solicitors will help you at every key stage and make sure you are comfortable with the decision to issue court proceedings.
Q8.What if I suffered a Personal Injury a while ago - Can I still claim?
You have three years from the date of your accident to begin a claim for compensation. If the person who wishes to claim was under the age of 18 at the time of the accident, then the 3 year period in which they can still claim will begin from his/her 18th birthday.
While this is the general rule, there are some exceptions - so if you are unsure whether you are eligible to make a claim or not, we advise you to contact us as soon as possible. We will be happy to recommend you to our solicitor who will provide you with a free case assessment.
Q9.Can I present my claim by myself without the help of you or any other claims management company?
You do not need to use a claims management company to make your claim, it may be possible for you to make a claim directly via your car insurance policy.
